Tried to study philosophy to prove to myself I was not mentally lazy. Which really did not work. Though I learned some things. Much too much I just didn't get.

Sometimes it is hard to digest someone else's ideas especially when they are spending pages upon pages explaining in the most confusing language whatever idea they are trying to get across. It is hard to concentrate.
I still maintain a part-time cleaning job. I also do most of the shopping and half the cooking. When My wife goes to work, she will always come home to a clean kitchen.
I mow about 2-3 acres of lawn around my house. Meanwhile, I tend to 100 tomato plants. In the winter, I run the snow blower , my driveway is 800 feet long. If it doesn't snow, I get a break. I guess I don't have to prove anything.
Attacking the spare room to clear out things I have stored there is a huge job. And I do about an hour in there once a week. in addition steaming my carpet myself is a huge job and I am always proud to do it myself:) Big yard that I mow all by myself once a week in the summer and the neighbors are in awe of me, makes me feel good:)
At my age it's not about being lazy. I do things to see if I still can. For instance I can still put my pants on while standing up, but it's hard enough that I can be proud of that accomplishment.
