We have job opportunities here in my town. It is a big 'sport fishing' area. Right now they are hiring hook baiters at a flat $20 per hour. Yeah, it's hard work, but if you stay at it for a year, they award you with the title of 'Master Baiter!'
I'm a bit shy using words that may or may not be sutiable for the main forum . There is a movement to tame the goat, afoot. I was recently given a lovely vacation for posting a great, important piece of baroque artwork so one must be careful

I live in Minnesota. Weather is our favorite topic of conversation. Not only the current weather, but the record highs, lows and rainfalls of past years. If someone says 'Hot enough for ya?', we are off and running with: You betcha, but remember 2 years ago when we had the week where it was over 90 and then the big storm came through and it dropped 30 degrees in 5 minutes? The proper response is to recall when on this date a decade ago it actually snowed a little bit (with no accumulation, of course). We can spend an afternoon like this and it never gets old.
Because all of them, when taken to their core, are based upon the (wrong) assumption that the only good and beautiful weather is dry, sunny, cloudless and hot weather.
