I must have been out of it a bit when I wrote this -- I guess my friend just sort of reminds of this guy in your gif. They don't look exactly alike but they look close enough for me to think of my friend.
    :)
    Yeah, my friend is nice.

    Fun!
    :)

I'm glad you liked the video!
    :)

These look like new women in comparison to the ones I'm more familiar with. I wasn't aware of a new group.
    :)
I admit I prefer the original lineup of Bananarama. Thanks for the video! I enjoyed watching and listening! The guys in the video are definite;y worth it, ha!
    :)

  • The only thing more annoying is when dipchits say  how welcomed or nice it is.  No, it is 90 and humid and it sucks.  Winter please.

Back when I was an inner city dweller, 20 years ago, any weather question bugged me.
"What?" I'd think, "Don't you have anything more interesting to discuss? Can you only relate at the level of small talk?"
But I never said those things.
Instead, I'd answer something like, "if it were any hotter I'd be a roast dinner, how about you?"

Now, living in the country, it's a different matter.
The great Murray-Darling rivers have dried to muddy potholes,
filled with flapping, gasping, dying and rotting fish,
because not enough rain has fallen
and what little water there was was stolen by mega-corporations for cotton.
Fruit is much smaller than any other year
or has dropped off the trees before it could mature.
Farmers' animals are dying because of the drought -
fetching less than the cost of transport at the sale yards,
or having to be shot and buried in mass graves.
Hay is being imported at inflated prices to keep the last few breeders alive.
Farmers are going bankrupt and walking off the land.

Now, when I hear the question "is it hot enough for ya?" it has, for me, a burning life or death significance.

  • I can’t stand when people want to discuss the weather, but yes, climate change is a different matter.

    "What's it like out?"

    "It's hot"

"Well then keep it in the shade so it doesn't get sunburned "
