No I wouldn't ,Id much rather the governments kill off all of this irrational nonsense of invisible god like images inciting people to kill in its name and the halfwits that blindly follow religious leaders orders ...
No other animail ,fish ,mammal ,bird ,insect or plant life does such horrific thing to anyother liveing thing that Mother Nature allowed to evolve ....
Most likely interbreeding with other family members thousands of years ago was the start of all this religious nonsense ....
Humans are to only animals on this planet that actually kill for pleasuse.....how very god like is that....

God had to be invented to explain creation . which satisfied my curiosity when I was about 5 years old and for a few years after that.

Buddha was the smart guy who decided belief in God or gods was foolishness and to leave beginnings for science to determine.  This post was edited by Kittigate at July 8, 2019 3:21 PM MDT

Why do you need to explain creation,it is what it is and we are here to prove it...no one was smart, they were just voluntary gullible ,more the word stupid comes to mind I think...or at worse ,child like ...

Except that govts never will. At present, and for the foreseeable future, the Parties of God still hold strong electoral influence, so it isn’t in the best interest of politicians to advocate against the nonsense of religion.
What are the real chances of someone who doesn't believe in some version of god getting elected to national office? This post was edited by Don Barzini at July 8, 2019 3:30 PM MDT

Here's the deal --------------- God can kill someone whenever he chooses to. He doesn't need my help. In time, he kills us all. ( OK OK, his Son got a free pass)

Too much blood has been spilled in the name of God as it is. The misled zealotry will not gain my membership.

If there were a god, and I don’t support any notion that there is, the incompetent tyrant can do his own dirty deeds. Abraham was a myth, btw.

    Bull. Apparently He does.

    Joshua chapter 12
After Moses dies, “God” used Joshua to conquer Jericho and Beth-Horen, then defeat the Canaanites, all resulting in many thousands of deaths, including women and children. Then in six years, 31 lesser kings (listed by name) were put to the sword at “God’s“ behest, many of their corpses were hung from five trees.
It is never less than amusing when religious apologists know less about their faiths than atheists do. This post was edited by Don Barzini at July 8, 2019 8:54 AM MDT

Even if the horrors portrayed in the Bible are largely untrue. The evils done by believers in His name have no equal.

I'd tell "God" to do it Himself ... since He's allegedly all-powerful.
