I got a new dog. He's a two-year-old lab mix that's energetic and sweet. I like names from mythology, books, movies, etc. Right now, we're running with the name Apollo, but I'm not sold on it. Any ideas?
OMG! You're asking me to explain myself? LOL! JA, I'm not sure its even possible to rationalize whats in my head most times. I just like the word. Makes me smile. I often like goofy names for pets. Peaknuckle just sounds silly and playful, and there's different ways to spell it. Why, I may even legally change my name to that.
Mercury - Messenger, trickery, luck and guides souls to the underworld. Hermes - similar to above, trade, trickery, travellers
Humphrey This and below was Sir Humphrey Gilbert who claimed Newfoundland as England's first overseas colony. Gilbert
Next ones because Labrador is connected to Newfoundland and the Norse gods and Inuit gods. Asgard - A place in norse mythology Narssuk - The god of the west wind and a son of the god Sila. Narssuk was depicted as an enormous infant whose winds were generated by the flapping of his caribou- skin diaper. In some versions the goddess Pukimna made the diaper for him. Narssuk supposedly would loosen his diaper on purpose per orders from either Sila or Sedna (depending on the region) to create harsh windstorms to punish people for violating taboos. Shamans (male or female) would travel in their astral bodies to refasten the diaper and end the winds. Viking names Snorre - The unruly one. Vidar Eirik - prince
:o I totally forgot about viking and Norse names. He perked his ears up at Vidar. I don't know how I feel about having the God of Vengeance in my home though. lol
I'm going to toy around with some of the other ones too. I like a lot of the ones you mentioned. Thanks!
