Nothing food-wise. Probiotics are the wave of the future. Everything fermented has enzymes used to break down digestion and there are key factors that you do not have in food that is not fermented. Vinegar is the opposite of fat. To me, anyway.]
That photo showed me how much I can't stand Trump - I have some VHS tape cases that look exactly like the books in the photo and now I'm thinking of throwing them away because they might remind me of Trump. Cheers!
You got me on the spaghetti though. Nope. No, you don't. I think people are thinking of a JAR and seeing spaghetti or potatoes sitting in a pickle jar. Most things that a pickled and healthy taste awful from just doing that.
Not merely spaghetti sauce, but the entire thing - spaghetti w/meatballs - pickled. (frankly I'm grossed out by pickled pigs feet, but to each their own)
I got dared to eat one of these when I was a teenager. They were just ewwwy and gross and no matter how many times I washed my hands I couldn't get the smell off of my fingers. If gasoline could rot these are what it would smell like.
Probably any food can be pickled, but I'd say foods already preserved by another means shouldn't be pickled. For instance, one could pickle dried apricots but there'd be no point because it probably wouldn't improve their flavour.
