Goats have no class and don't care about having any.  They will eat the shirt your back and give you a kick for it if you give them a problem about it.    Sorry, I suck at puns, that's why we have the nice jugs for that.

My theory is its because they are always saying - baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and it causes pressure on their pupils and squishes them into a weird shape. Cheers!

Not sure were that came from maybe it steamed from sour grapes because I  used to have a pet goat that always said - baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and one day she gave me a head butt that was  so hard it blackened both my eyes and made me incoherent for a few minutes, Cheers!

Yep I got head butted by a goat and lived plus once as a pedestrian I got hit by a truck that was built Ram tuff and I lived. I don't think my goat was being rude it was more like I was being stupid. I had just got her and I was goofing around with her and I put my head down and shook my head back and forth at her while saying - come on you aren't so tuff. At the time I didn't know how fast a goat could be and goats take it as a challenge when a head goes down and its shook back and forth. Besides the head butt she was great we got milk from her and she cleared lots of areas by eating the grass and bushes. Cheers!

All grazing species have horizontal pupils.
It creates a wider, more horizontal window which enables them to see almost 360º across the landscape around them.
The position of the eyes, set wide apart, to the front and side of the head helps to maximise peripheral vision.
Essential for being aware of potential predators.
Likewise, their ears swivel almost 360º to accurately pinpoint the location of a sound.

    Nup.
I just live with horses. If one spends a lot of time around them, one needs to understand them in detail.
One wall of my place is shelves of books on horses, each one specialising in a different aspect. Have read each book several times.
Did that for about twenty years before I began transitioning to writing.
I did one of Dr Deb Bennett's anatomy and physiology of the horse courses; it included a weekend of horse autopsy.
Have also lived with donkeys and goats.

My love of animals has always kept me keen on observing animals in nature.
I watch just about every nature documentary - always keen to see a new one.
The photography keeps on getting better and the scientific detail richer.

It's part of what makes me so frickin sad about climate change -
that we will lose all (or most) of these wonders of life.

You shouldn't keep books on horses, take it from me that they will all fall off if the horse moves and why you want a horse stuck permanently in your living room with books on its back ,God only knows...

In England we have and use something called Book cases....:) D

I bet you love Sir Richard Attenborough too......He would be President of the world......What a life he must have had....:)

If you think their pupils are weird, you should see the teacher.

I know the answer as I am around goats quite often, grazing animals which are preyed upon, have horizontal pupils to give them a panoramic view that’s wider and shorter than what you’d get with a round or vertical pupil, and lets the animal see nearly all around itself. When God created goats, he/she had a surplus of cat eyes, but put them on sideways.

Goats are wonderful for self-sufficient people and entrepreneurs. You can make money with goats by selling milk, making cheese, selling cashmere wool, or even selling the goats themselves. You can also use the milk to make soap.
I guarantee I have rectangular pupils when I get milked...Or maybe a squint
