We keep one side set to normal and one set to lightly toasted (for me)

Nearly 20 years ago, we furnished this house when it was new. This included a new double slot Toastmaster. Unfortunately, it had some sort of defect, and it was difficult to use. However, it still 'works' and we have learned to get around the defect all these years.

Two...I can't eat four slices.

Two slots.  Fifty years ago, I don't think they were making four-slot toasters for home use.

I have a 2-slice bread dehydrator.

2. Enough for myself. When wife was around, I did mine double hers single. 

Two. I don't make enough toast to justify a four-slot toaster. 

I toast bread 100% of the time unless it's homemade bread.  A two-slot toaster is all I need.  It's a wimpy little toaster but does the job.  The one that I got in the 70s lasted 20 years.  I haven't had another one that didn't self destruct within a few years. 

Six..it also does four or just two....it has a defrost setting and a timer dial....it's kind of a catering grade domestic appliance and we have a matching kettle two....

Four. It's newish, the old 2 slot died.
