I just barely remember having heard some of Hitler's speeches as a young teenager, and I've always wondered how sane and decent Germans could have been persuaded by such hate-saturated ranting -but later I learned German, I've watched Nazi propaganda films, I've studied history, and frankly I am shocked by the parallels with tonight's obviously carefully planned performance.
We're going to renew our passports -soon. I strongly advise those of you who are in the LGBT community to do likewise. If you think I'm over-reacting, pay close attention to the rhetoric coming out of Cleveland and look into what the Nazis did to homosexuals. less
