The subjects we... moreMany decades ago when I was much younger our favorite topics were "what is the meaning of life" and various themes/iterations thereof. There was never a conclusion. The subjects were always open-ended and flexible. Never rigid pronouncements. Usually "what if" possibilities. I do not remember discussing politics. It was more about abstract concepts than concrete ugly reality. That was then. SIGH. This is now. Oh my! :(

He told reporters to be a little more careful about which sources they used to get the news. He was calm. He was articulate. He was sent out there to try to clean up the mess his charge keeps making just like others before him have done and others after him will do. Were you convinced hte was sincere or do you think he was doing the bare minimum under the circumstances? less
