I'd love more land and parking space is especially a bugbear of mine... and I don't have fancy start of the art things inside my house, but I love it. I love how it's evolved over the years and how everything has been adapted to meet my needs... And my garden... sure I hanker for a jacuzzi or hot tub... and I'd like more land again but every plant in it was planted by me... every weed pulled.. It's far from perfect... and I do work hard on it.. but overall I am very pleased with how it's looking this year. Be it ever so humble as they say, there's no place like home. less

I ended up just telling him I'd finish it, but I don't have any skills or tools. O_o At this point, there are gaps between the drywall and existing walls, gaps in the trim, the walls will still need texture, and I'll have to repaint. I'm not going to go back to the company, neither to complain or ask for them to finish, so I either have to hire someone (and I don't know if someone will touch it at this point), or I have to teach myself how to do it and get the tools. Where would you start with something like this? less

We were talking at work and they were saying... they would rather spend their money on holidays. One ex but still pops in a lot, colleague had wanted to build an extension for her house but says she has spent money on loads of lovely holidays this year... another colleague is going to America in a few weeks and always has lovely holidays... I'm not having any vacation this year... mainly because I have to be home to drive daughter to her volunteering over the summer period.. but I don't have any money anyway as my house and my pets take a lot of money... And that's ok... we all make choices... or some things are more pressing than others... but at the same time I do find I am missing not having a vacaton this year.. On balance I am probably happy with what I have done... I'd just really like to have enough money to do both :P less

Or are you selective and focus on that which is tasty/nutritious/edible? What about in the Garden Of Life? How many weeds do you cultivate, tend, give time to? Why?
