So Jim figured out a way to keep the rpm above 1000 by a combination of giving it gas and using the brake when we had to come to a stop. 25 miles he drove like that. Next day he took it in to AAMCO for a diagnosis. It had something to do with the air intake valve. They didn't have time to fix it till Wednesday. BUT on Wednesday when Jim started the car up the engine light was off and the car was idling just fine. No problem. He drove around town doing different errands and the car is just fine. Pilots don't seek help because they fear doing so would jeopardize their jobs. So they suffer in silence. I wonder how many other professions have the same problem?
