Some of them are very good phonies and can convince you of anything. Whether the perp admits/apologies or denies/lies what was done was done and cannot be undone. Why apologize? Are you comforted when someone apologizes to you? Do YOU feel better when you apologize to others, assuming you do apologize? Since we never know if the apology is for real or for show how can you ever take any of them seriously? Inquiring minds wanna know. less

It is working beautifully in the US on many levels, especially politics. You get elected no matter how sleazy you are or what creepy things you did...some criminal.
