We pass on what we received and our children pass on what they receive. How do we improve upon whom we are so we can improve upon what we pass on to our kids? That's why we still have a problem with racism/bigotry/homophobes/misogynists/hatemongers. It keeps getting passed on. Depending upon your point of view you either think it's great or it stinks. Are you proud of what your parents passed on to you and proud of what you are passing on to your children? Why? less

They think that what they think is clearly best or they wouldn't think it. Circular logic to be sure but that's what it is. Same thing with religion. Yours is best and the others aren't as good or true or real. That's why we will never understand "the other". Because they are not us and we have all the answers. Right. So why are there still so many questions? less

How does that make sense? Doesn't it invite investigations of YOUR past? How is that helpful to anyone?

Do you think it is a way to break through the barrier of the "other"? If you know someone's name you are no longer a stranger nor is he/she? I'd wear a name tag and be happy to do so. Would you or would you be appalled and refuse? Why?
