There is no one I know of who hates me or bears me a grudge.
I live in a rural valley (the largest caldera in the Southern Hemisphere) in which there are 80,000 residents. The most recent Australian statistic for murders committed by strangers is 0.95 per 100,000 per year. That means my annual chance of being murdered are less than zero.
I'm 63 and, being healthy, could reasonably expect to live another 30 years.
If I multiply .95 by 30, I get a chance of 28.5 in 100,000 over 30 years - still so low that I feel no need to worry.
I'm rarely out and about where there are lots of people; where I live is relatively remote and very private.

And the Bears there don't or can't really commit murder as its a human trait and Bears only kill to eat ,plus can't be tried for murder ..... Unlike America where a tortured female circus Elephant was tried by a Judge and Jury for the death of a young girl when it rampaged because of its constant beatings...It was found guilty and sentenced to a public hanging.. There was no gallows strong enough to do it so the Elephant was taken to a shipyard and hoisted off of the ground by a shipyard Derrick Crane until it died.....The elephant was old an hindered and hundreds of people including childred had a day out to watch to poor abused animil slowly die..... Aren't humans a wonderful inhuman race that pleasure from killing for pleasure...
Of course, but that's because someone follows them in or they open the door to a stranger. I never enter my building if someone I don't know is waiting at the front entrance. I either wait for them to be buzzed in or go around to the basement entrance. Of course, someone else could have let them in, but these days, with so few people going in and out, it's less worrisome.
There’s not always one particular set of circumstances that bring about a particular outcome. The probability that something will happen to you inside your own home is low, sure, and I’m not presupposing any negative situation happens to you, I’m just stating that not every instance of that has occurred because of being followed or allowing someone inside. ~
You are right - you never know when something will happen to you, but I am very cautious, don't open my door unless I know who's there and if it's a delivery, I ask them to leave it at the door. I try to be very situationally aware and I'm not on my cell phone when walking around. Thanks for your concern. :)
Well because of the coronavirus I might have to find a new line of work so I'm thinking of getting back into the cannabis biz which will increase my chances of being murdered a little bit. Cheers and happy weekend!
I’ve prepared a list of names for the police to investigate in the event of my demise by homicide:
(Alphabetically)
Jaimie (spurned lover resentment)
Jane S (restraining order frustration) Nice Jugs (grammar-anger) Sharonna (general purposes) Slartiblast (poisonous doses of Vegemite) Wakko (owes me $50,000 and doesn’t want to pay)
