I didn't know the song, so I looked it up. Most of the versions I saw were over five minutes long and I went with this version I'm posting, at just under four minutes. It seems to be a "live, in concert" version of the song maybe. (Sounds like maybe a crowd in the background to me.) I rather like the song! :) Then I listened to a bit of one of the five minute versions which sounded like a studio version - - I much prefer this "live" version! :) I'm surprised to say that because I often do not enjoy "live" concert versions of songs.
I couldn't say. There's something not quite right with my hearing. I've never been able to clearly hear all the lyrics of any pop song; the pronunciation is often slurred and the instrumentation too often overwhelms the vocals. I stopped even listening many years ago.
Give me classical or world-fusion any day and I'm happy.
I've never particularly liked this Bill Ray Cyrus song, either.
I admit I have never heard of the other two songs until listening now. I stopped listening to the Dave Mills song at the 0:40 seconds mark - - didn't like it at all. :)
However, I really liked Wilson's "Bop Girl"! Ha! And I really liked the music video, too! :)

Pat Wilson should have left the music making to her husband, Ross (who fronted Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock). This forgettable bit of silliness made her yet another 80s one-hit wonder.
Thanks for adding more to her story! I like being introduced to artists with whom I was unaware. Now I'd do well to look up Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock. :)
I liked both of those songs a lot! And both are very different styles. I especially liked "Eagle Rock" a LOT. And at the 1:13 mark in the video I had to go back and watch it again to see if that were an actual bird or a human being in a bird costume! That bird moves like a human to me. :) "Eagle Rock" is one of the best new-to-me songs I've heard in a long time. Thanks for posting the songs, Slartibartfast!
Australian music doesn't get the respect it deserves in the US. The only Aus band that really made it over there was INXS. To refer to Lynyrd Skynyrd et al as "Southern Rock" when every single Australian band comes from several thousands of miles further south ...
