Do you think all that Elvis guy’s songs are much better when covered by someone else? I do.

I do not. I have never been a fan of Elvis Presley’s music nor of his life’s story. I do not jump onboard the Elvis mystique bandwagon at all, so as such, even cover versions of his songs do absolutely nothing for me.

Okay, what are your thoughts on Rod Stewart?

Meh. I like some of Rod Stewart’s music just because of the way it sounds, its lyrics, etc., while when it comes to Presley, the fact that I don’t like the guy himself plays into my apathy for his music. Stewart’s life story and “mystique” don’t exactly stimulate me, but they don’t rile me the way Presley’s do.  Also, I’m not much into country music but I do like rock and roll. Presley is “countryer” than Stewart is “rock and rollier”.

Okay, what  are your thoughts on The Beatles?

Boring. I’ve never been a fan.  Generally speaking, I like neither the majority of their music nor have I ever fallen for their supposed mystique. I like certain Beatles songs, but only a very few of them. I like Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles work much more than the group’s collective works.

Haha, we have kind of same taste in music, you just have to get into “the rap” ;p  I don’t care for Beatles either.

And you wonder why we keep marrying each other.  We were meant to be together!

(By the way, I want a divorce over that rap business.  Grrrrrr.)

With you both on The Beatles. I'll be a guest at one of your weddings. :)

The only Beatles song I really like is "Come Together"  :)

Wow,  this first time you proposed our divorce before next marriage. I’m not sure how to feel about that but okay! More divorce, more alimony.

Er, um, I won’t be paying you alimony any more. Why do you think I’m having the basement redone? I’ve decided that if you can’t or won’t perform your wifely duties, I’ll just sequester you in the Sandwich-Making Room forever and ever. Good luck getting the PBnJs correct once arthritis sets in when you get old!

(They’re in on it with me; they’re sick of you calling them every time a raccoon sneezes within 100 kilometers of you or when you report me, your loving husband, as breaking and entering, when all I’m doing is returning to our love nest after a hard day’s work at the lumber yard.  You’re out of luck.)

    There's some interesting overlaps here!

Here's one of the very few rap songs I like:

Big surprise: when I was single, “O.P.P.” was my mantra!

    Especially this line:

“There’s no room for relationships, there’s just room to hit it!”

It was always ironic that I liked it because I was never/will never actually be down with O.P.P. At least not knowingly.

I'm sure that's no big surprise either.

    Nope. :)

    (Do you like that one?)

I remember that "Infatuation" is the only song by Stewart that I've heard that I really like. I like the song and his voice fits the song well for me and I like how he songs it. :)
I recognize his talent - - he just does little for me. :)
