RAAF. I'd relax the medical requirements for certain categories - given that the physical specifications for an air traffic controller, for example, are irrelevant. It's not a job requiring physical strength or supreme fitness.

Yes! (You didn't mention if you almost got hit in a parking lot as another driver or a pedestrian but I've seen numerous examples of both scenarios.)
I've lost track of how many times I've had to stop my car in the middle of a parking lot because I had no idea what the other driver was going to do next. Though many others seem to drive this way in a parking lot, I do not -- the old "The shortest distance between two points is a straight (driven fast) line" does not work for me in a parking lot with other moving vehicles and pedestrians.
