My wife used to call me a hoe because I could dig a hole by hand faster then a backhoe. Cheers and happy weekend!

I use to pour concrete in a hole that I also dug. Does that count?

On summer vacation as a child, I dug holes on the beach with a plastic shovel.

It is a combination of a wedge and a lever. Freshman physical science.

Of course. Example: Fence posts with both a hand tool and a gas-powered drill.

You could use that body to guard your treasure by burying  her/him on a layer above the treasure  knowing that people might have superstitions about finding and moving
a dead body. That is what the ancient pirates did.

"Anybody willing to volunteer to guard the treasure while the ship is away"
A newbie member of the crew might fall for that trick.

We drill holes in the ground with a drill during the summer to put concrete morel mushrooms on (they have a piece of wire coming out of the bottom)

Sure, to plant something, or as in one case, to make a swimming pool.  I got into a lot of trouble about pool hole in my pawpaw's garden.

Many - graves, burying feces, compost piles, leach field, wall footing, planting plants

The worst was the hole  I dug for a cesspool - by hand.  It was a little over 6 feet deep, but barely 2-1/2 feet wide.  After the first 4 feet, I had to lay on the ground, lower  myself into the hole - head first - to pull the shovel high enough to get the dirt into a little soup can ... then pull the can out, empty it and repeat.

Several times, to bury deceased pets, or anchor clothes hoists. I've also helped excavate foundations for concrete, before my back collapsed.
