    I prefer carpet, but we have two rooms with laminate and three bedrooms with hardwood.

    This old place was built on a concrete slab, so that's the flooring.  Thusly, I prefer carpet as concrete is cold and hard.

    A floating hardwood floor. They can look just as good as a traditional hard wood floor but they are way easy to install. Cheers!

    Vinyl plank everywhere (including all closets) other than the bedrooms and staircase....those are berber carpet.
