If you won a free/all expenses paid 2 week vacation to any place in Canada in winter, where would you like to go?

If I won a free trip to USA I would go to stay at a city called Sandy Eggo in California where there are lots of sunny beaches.

If I want to escape the cold weather in Minnesota, I can go anywhere below the Arctic Circle.

The Canadian side of the falls in winter is absolutely spectacular.  The water freezes on the trees along the walkway and it's like a winter wonderland.

Having been there in person, I can state it as fact. :)

Vancouver Island. Nanoose says it is a tropical paradise all year long. I want to see those winter hummingbirds.

Bet you would really enjoy the first step of the migration of the huminbirds that do migrate from the Island. 2 weeks before they begin their migration they all gather in a fairly small area so there is zillions of them buzzing around. It is cool  to see and hear. Cheers and Happy New Year!

Yeah it is pretty cool. What I also think is cool is how the humming birds that stay here all year long changed their digestive system so that they can start eating insects and learned how to control their heart beat. We have been under a foot of snow but everyday I still see a humming bird out there surviving and probably thinking it beats flying to South America ever winter.       I would search far and wide for a place where proper use of punctuation is applied; I wouldn’t be able to function anywhere else, but it appears your house doesn’t fit the bill, so there’s no sense in you fluffing up the pillows in the guest room and purchasing a case of root beer. (Sigh.)

I do, however, applaud you loudly and vigorously for correctly placing the comma after the word “winter”, so I believe there is hope for you yet. That’s a hurdle long overdue.

That was lucky. It often works best for me if I just toss a few punctuation marks in the air and let them fall where they may.

I would like to go to Lake Louise, AB.  The Fairmont Château Hotel in Lake Louise is the background I used for my avatar.  I don’t remember what the search term was that brought up that picture, but my avvie seems to really like it because she’s been there for a few years already.

Probably Quebec City to see the Chateau Frotenac -- I remember how beautiful I thought it was the one time I went to Quebec City and I'd like to see it again.

I would sit by the heater in a hotel room.
I hate the snow, hate it, hate it, hate it. I'd rather be warm, like around 75-80 degrees.  Not to hot, just warm +.

I dislike the idea of going out in the cold because it looks so cold out there and all the trouble of getting all dressed up in winter clothing but once I am out there I do enjoy it a bit.
