    Every day.

    Astoria, Oregon movies:
    The Goonies
    Kindergarten Cop
    Short Circuit
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
    The Ring Two
    Free Willy
    Benji the Hunted
    The Mortuary Collection

According to The Daily Astorian (local paper), several scenes for a movie starring Daisy Ridley (aka: "Rey" in StarWars movies) were being filmed at various locations in October 2021.  However, the producers declined to name the film or disclose any details.

I live in New York City, the location for more films and TV shows than I could possibly list.

My first thought was of the original 1974 "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three" -- that movie kicks majorly some body parts for me.
I first saw it on TV at about the age of 15 -- the opening theme by David Shire pulled me in immediately. If you haven't seen it, I find it a great movie. (It's no plot spoiler - - the hijacking of a NYC subway train.)

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) directed by Joseph Sargent • Reviews, film + cast • Letterboxd

Here's that theme!  :)  The entire music score is great for me, too  :)
I realize the music and movie are not for everyone.

Yay! Thanks for letting me know, SpunkySenior!
After enjoying (if that's the word) the movie so much, I ended up reading John Godey's original novel. As much as I liked the movie and already knowing the plot, Godey's book was incredible, too. And I later read several books by him - - all of them are really good to me. "The Snake" and "The Talisman"  immediately come to mind.

Thanks for the book recommendation.  I seem to gravitate towards the same authors.  Now I can add another one. :)

I frequented the Union Square station while attending high school on East 15th Street.

Was that a particular station used in that movie? I'm not overly knowledgeable at all about the details about that movie. I just enjoyed the heck out of it. (And, again, that's cool about you and Taxi Driver!)

It's where they stopped the train and exited with the loot.

Oh, wow! With all this fun talk, I may watch that movie again!

Granted  I first saw it as a teen, but the movie had a strong sense of realism to me. And the people on the train all seemed truly scared/concerned/whatever the emotions, like that poster up there I posted.

I did not know there was an earlier version of this movie. I have only seen the 2009 version with Densel Washington and John Travolta.  Good movie but language is awful.

Thanks for more detail on that remake!! I thought I had heard about it but never saw it.

If you're up to it, maybe consider watching the original, too. I can't remember the language in it but I really liked it. It's been a long time for me since last watching it.

I don't know if I'd like to watch the newer one with liking so much the original.  :)

I was already planning to see if it is on Amazon Prime.  I figure being an older movie language should be a lot better.

Oh, wow! How cool! If you watch it, I hope you enjoy! Again, not that I would say it would need to be a priority, but like I said already, David Shire music is so enjoyable to me! Ha! That opening theme.  :)

I've been in almost every state in the USA.  As for cities, I can say that I love this song which names many places and I've been in each one of them except Chicago, though I have been in Illinois.

Video unavailable in my neck of the woods, but I can guess the song. Johnny Cash's American version, or Lucky Starr's original? I've been to more than a few of these ...

I was unknowingly on camera with DeNiro in this Taxi Driver scene, filmed around the corner from my house when I was 15.
