Once an officer is no longer part of the force, he or she has no sworn duty or duties to uphold. Besides, policing can also be done on a freelance, hobby, or interested civilian basis.

That you would consider leaving short of retirement is disloyal to the Grammar Police Benevolent Association (GBPA), the union that has given you everything you have in your career, and your fellow officers. And guacamole is nowhere near the threat to society that is bad grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Especially punctuation with all the Canadian scofflaws out there. Frankly, I am surprised at you.

Rarely. But I am just trying to help you remember what's important and keep your priorities straight. If we don't serve and correct and, especially, keep Element in line and prevent Kittigate and his Canadian hordes from running amok, none of the rest matters - even guacamole. I can't do this alone. Think hard, man. Society's future is at stake.

I found some avacados on sale today, so I'm making a big batch of guac tomorrow. And, since you have retired from the force, no discussing spelling errors.

      (P. S. Not so fast there, Prof. I’m only considering leaving the Grammar Police Force, it is not yet a final decision. Grr.)

It was intentionally shortened. There are no regulatory guidelines on “proper” length.
