You are in your car in a parking lot with the window down, minding your own business, when a large black man approaches you.

What will you do? This question comes from a news segment I was watching.

I was just thinking that I am going to dress up as a female Karen for Halloween. Then go to the Raftarian dance and pretend to call the police and say things like - officer there are black people dancing here. I'm well know in that community so I am pretty sure they will find it hilarious. Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at February 16, 2022 8:38 AM MST

I like that. I have met a few. I believe there are a lot more Karens, though.

I have as well.  Definitely more women as well.
I do admit to having to be one a couple of times in my life.

I think the same for any approaching strange person, I would get the engine started and be ready to move.

I would be willing to offer him help if his needs be.

Depends on whether I know him. But since I don't own a car, I am unlikely to be in a parking lot anyway. Unless, of course, I am awaiting an Uber pickup.

Same as I answered when it was a large white man - That would depend on whether he appears to be threatening or not.  If not, I would wait and see if he has a question.  If threatening, I would drive off.

Depends on his behavior.  I would be alert and ready to drive away while dailing 911. This post was edited by my2cents at February 16, 2022 8:44 AM MST

Depends on whether or not I like the look of him.

Nod if eye contact is made, otherwise I'd ignore him.

If you are asking if I automatically think every Black male is a threat, the answer is no.

Tell him, "Randy, I told you before. I did not sabotage that shipment of tildes by smearing Vegemite on them. It must be someone else - I believe that one can purchase Vegemite in Minnesota ..." This post was edited by Slartibartfast at February 17, 2022 6:34 AM MST
