I've bought things from ads on Similar Worlds. When I wrote a story about my parked car getting hit by a drunk driver, Similar Worlds displayed an ad for a VW dealership in Buenos Aires. The next day, the video at the top of Youtube was a video of VW Amaroks playing in the mud. I now have a VW Amarok.
I wrote a story on Similar Worlds about the many traffic tickets I received. Similar Worlds displayed an ad for a traffic attorney. His office was very close to my house. I hired him when I got my last ticket. He convinced the judge that I wasn't texting and driving.
I love my VW pickup truck. Yesterday, there was an alert for a thunderstorm, tornado and hail nearby. The first thing I thought about was where I could take my pickup truck so she would be safe from hail. The storm moved away. The type of weather that I hate is hail.
Yeah I am a real sucker for TV ads but at least I am responsible about it. Sometimes when I see an ad for a cool new toy I put it on the Grandkids presents list but I will buy myself one first so I can test play with it to make sure they aren't poison or something. The last toy I tested was a RC Radical Racer - it was way fun so I bought a couple more for the grandkids. Cheers!

The movie ads for "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" (1977) -- critics' overwhelming praise for Diane Keaton's performance.
The critics quotes were the only reason I wanted to see the movie. I had never seen such praise for a performance. And those critics were correct in my opinion. Keaton was amazing.
