Any other questions that you have? Can ask right here!

Any of the other questions each of you other members have? You can ask them right in this thread here, & I will see if I can answer them, & some other question I probably that cannot answer. -
See what other questions you might bring here & I will take a look at them okay?

I had to do it with a calculator:
    29 yroot 3 = 3.072316858472933126379821056 . . .
Hope the other digits are about right
Did it from the LapTop Scientific calculator!

As long as we’re having fun with math, and I’m evil, and you haven’t graded my homework challenge from four years ago yet, I‘m just going to continue with Element’s math theme.

1, 2, 6, 12, 60, 420, 840, 2520…. What’s the next number in this sequence that is not equal to any of the numbers already in this sequence?

What is the lowest number that has a positive integer for its square root, its cube root and its fourth root?

What unit of length was intended to be ¹⁄₇₇₇₆₀₀₀₀ of Earth’s circumference?

Which building in Kentucky was designed and constructed using the unit for the above answer?

In a measurement system, five of the units of length are 6.425593 mm, 3.855356 dm, 2.313213 dam, 1.387928 km and 83.275683 km.  There are no intermediate units between the ones listed, but this measurement system has smaller and larger units of length that follow the sequence of the ones listed.  What are the base units of time and what is the defining constant?

    Have fun.

If a person in the United States is born every 8 seconds and a person dies every 11.4 seconds what does the 3.4 second gap mean in math for 5 years say if any other factors could be used? Could you gather any statistics and run with it? This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at March 5, 2023 7:19 PM MST

We had similar questions in a calculus class. I forget how, though.

It means more traffic on the freeway. Of course with all those babies who can't drive it could means less.  This post was edited by Honey Dew at October 7, 2023 7:52 PM MDT

Do they have to be math questions? Or can I ask random questions about things like Nuffie Screech? Cheers!

You can ask other questions that you will really like to ask. Cheers
Don't really know why others asked just math questions here!

I don't know any of what Nuffie Screech is, as if someone else probably will answer that

It’s because Element started it and it seemed like a fun way to torture people.

In the 1700s why did pirates with 2 perfectly fine eyes ware eye patches?

An eye patch was more likely to be used to condition the eye so the pirate could fight in the dark.

It takes an average human eye about 25 minutes to fully adapt from bright sunlight to seeing in complete darkness—if a pirate was fighting on deck in the sunlight, then had to continue the fight under the deck where it is usually pretty dark, it could take too long for their eyes to adjust and for the pirate to be able to see.  The eye patch could be used to prepare one eye to see in the dark, so when they would go below deck they could swap the eye patch from one eye to the other and see with the eye that has already adjusted to low light conditions. This would allow them to instantly see in the dark.

Mythbusters confirmed that this use of eye patches among pirates was plausible, but there is no recorded historical precedent for this fact.

No. It was because they figured if they wore a eye patch Queen Nanny of the Jamaican Maroons would notice them (she dug guys with eye patches). Actually you got I right. Cheers!
