Want to sign my petition? ;)

A petition to bring to an end the endless, needless beeps, noises, and horn beeps on vehicles:

Let's go back to the days when we pushed a door lock lever, down, rolled a vehicle window down with our entire arm, we had to remember where we parked our vehicles without pushing a lever to beep for us, we didn't need a horn beep to tell us we locked our vehicle, we didn't need 18 beepbeepbeepbeeps to tell us to buckle our seatbelts, we didn't need beeps to tell us we left a car door open.

Think of the energy we'll save on our vehicle batteries to get rid of the noise.

Let's end unnecessary noise pollution and get back into using our muscles

And, perhaps most importantly, I have yet to see anyone come running outside "to the rescue" when some parked vehicle starts beepbeepbeepbeeping somewhere for minutes on end. We all ignore the beeping noise pollution."

Will you sign?

    I'm very honored.  :)
With due respect to all the others who answered, too, how could this momentous occasion not be a Pick?  :)

Lol, it’s kind of funny that more than three quarters of the top ten members on the so-called “Leaderboard“ haven’t even been active on the website at all for two to three years or more!

More than 7,5/10 you say? Hehe, it's true - shows how big the gap is. Will you be going for the top spot?

Like I stated before, I hardly ever pay attention to those numbers, in fact, I wouldn’t have even looked at them today if the mention of them hadn’t showed up on your post.
No, I’m not going for the top spot. I just plug along and post, however the numbers come up is how they come up.

Lol, you’ve caused me to look into what my count is, something that I neither keep track of nor to which I have particularly paid close attention. It turns out I’m at 52K-something, lol! Who would’ve thunk?

It should be right beneath your profile pic, so I've been side-glancing enviously at your astronomical numbers for a long time now!

You're the nearest mugger to Rosie, who wrote 113.313 posts...

Thank you, I know where it is, I know what it means, it’s just that I never look at it.

Now I'm thinking of getting a petition going to make it mandatory that all cars have airhorns. Once I watched a smart car cut in front of a fully loaded logging truck that was going down a fairly steep road on a winter day. The smart car couldn't get up to speed fast enough and it looked like the logging truck was going to cream the back end of the car. But the logging truck driver blasted his dual airhorns and the force of the air from the horns pushed the smart car forward avoiding an accident. So I think that proves that air horns save life's. Cheers and happy weekend!

I don't know why anyone would feel safe in a smart car.

I once figured out how to prevent Chevy Corvair's from flipping over at high speeds. So I am pretty sure I could figure out a way to make smart cars safe. I would probably start by welding a couple of sets of dual airhorns to the back of the smart car. They would be like booster rockets that would accelerate the car quickly and avoid rear end collisions. Cheers and happy weekend!

Ever party needs a party pooper. Plus you are wrong - the proper word would be life's.

As unsmart as I am, I somehow trust my unsmartness over a smart driverless vehicle.
