My first marriage. My mother strongly disliked my wife. I should have listened to her.

Do I have to name it, or do you accept this evidence?

I also would frown upon anyone watching that.

I'm sure he would get along with Elaine Benes.

Is something missing from your answer? From your answer, and Element 99's reply, it seems there might've been something here that I don't see on my screen.

Yeah, incredible how young he was in that, too, isn't it? There are many of his films I've not seen, but there's no comparison between that and Titanic, for sure.

I think Titanic for me is probably like Forrest Gump is for you.

    :)

Gilbert Grape movie really strongly 'hit' me. And DiCaprio literally blew me away. I saw it at a time when he was just becoming famous, maybe. It was the first thing I ever saw hoi do. It remains probably, for me, the best thing I've seen him do  that I've  seen (if I had to choose a 'best.')

He looks about 13 or 14 or something.

I don't care about what other think about what I do.  If they want to frown that's their problem.

You’ve neglected to pluralize one word and to place the necessary comma between two others. You are entitled to one phone call during the booking process, and this time, once that’s done, Bubba‘s cell is the only one available for us to place you while you wait to see the judge at Grammar Court. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Sorry if you still like them, I say screw whomever frowned upon that, Welby. This post was edited by SavvyAnsley at February 4, 2024 12:55 PM MST

    Thanks, SavvyAnsley. :)
It turned terribly ugly. The person (a friend up until then) was so mad that this person's goal was then to ruin me in all ways and they went to extremes to do so.

The person since has sincerely apologized. I accepted the apology but I choose to not pursue or continue in the friendship. (If it ever was a friendship.)
I would never be able to trust the person again.
Arguably the most difficult experience I've gone through as an adult but I am proud of how I chose not to retaliate at all.

I was not ruined at all. :)

I think I'm done talking about it now.
Now for a piece of Boston Creme Pie.

Good for you for feeling proud of yourself! Times like those are when we can really grow, I think. Rise to a challenge, so to speak.

    Only now saw your response.
    Thank you very much. :)
That was a difficult, difficult experience for me, for sure.

I shared some up in SavvyAnsley's reply, too.
A group of us friends had a standing every-two-weeks get-together.

Other good friends of mine outside of this particular two-weeks group asked me to meet them at an amusement park.
One of the friends in the two-weeks group got royally angry with my apologizing (of course) and letting them know I would miss this particular outing because I would be at an amusement park with some other friends.

Some of my grammatical choices have met with disapproval. I don't care.

Your “relationship” with one of the grammar cops (me), coupled with your 98% rating of instances of using not only correct but wonderfully impeccable grammar, are factors that refute your claim of apathy.

Pssssst: (Meet me at the usual place and time this weekend. I believe it’s your turn to rub baby oil all over my body. Pay close attention to all of my naughty zones.)
