I've always hated this song. HATED! What songs do you hate?

Post the songs you hate.

The challenge:  Post ONLY songs that don't use offensive words & happen to have been popular in it's day.

Post those songs that make your skin crawl, your stomach turn & lurch, songs that give you a headache, or freeze your brain.

  • I adore this song! I adore Justin Hayward, or Justin Haywire as my daughter once called him after we had the utter awesome privilege of seeing him in the War of the Worlds... now there's a fab collaboration of Brit and American talent. The Moody Blues are demi-gods we should worship them.. and you have to admit that at least they had the decency to call themselves MOODY BLUES ... so what were they supposed to sing... chirpy chirpy cheep cheep? :P

Here is an earworm for everyone.

The 70s were a really weird time.

Haha.  Although I agree it's cheesy, I do have one fond memory associated with that song so I can't say I completely hate it. ;)

I admit to liking a few cheesy songs, just because of the young memory of them.

I actually LOVE a few of the songs that got listed here, so I am guilty as charged.

I think music is one of these things that becomes a time stamp to our lives.

Some of the dumbest, cheesiest songs may have been playing when something really happy was happening to us.

What songs?  What songs?  Inquiring minds want to know!  LOL!

If you were going to say Achy Breaky Heart, DON'T!!!  I have great admiration for you and I don't want you to ruin it.  Haha!

I really LIKE the one you listed in your post to start off.  Loved Foreigner.  Don't hit me....hahahaha.  Some of that stuff in the 80s brings back some good memories.  :)

Haha.  I think I mentioned to Grasshopper this is one of those subjective posts so I can't in good conscience berate someone for not agreeing with my choices.

But, I will always defend Knights in White Satin!  lol!

  • I hate a lot of songs. Top most are: "God Is Watching Us", That insipid tripe were the singer keeps saying,"I'm getting closer to my home" a billion times.  "It Is A Heartache"  Anything by Dylan.
The stinking pile Hendrix made of the national anthem, and most anything else he did. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 8, 2017 6:31 AM MST

In the 80s the tune was called Hand Jive. In the 70s it was called The Name Game. In the 60s it was called Hand Jive. In the 50s it was called Ham Bone. Ham bone is a Cajun tradition that goes back to the beginning of the Cajun people.
