The town where I live is said to be one of the most boring in the south east.... I think that's why my son was so shocked when he got beaten up by someone trying to rob him

Care to share that with us.  I live in Florida and the last time I saw the list of party schools, UF topped the list.  I, myself, didn't go to a party school.  It is a great one though; I am still associated with it.  :)

Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, USA is where I went. Around the state, it seemed to me, it was considered a party school.
    :)

I usually think of party towns as being college towns, but I guess one could say New York City is a party town.

Uh... no.  This one-horse town doesn't even know the meaning of the word "party".

It used to be. The freeway killed the town except for one thing: In Arizona the bars closed at 2:00 AM and the same in California, so at 2:00 AM all the drinkers from Arizona drove over to continue drinking for another hour. But there was still a sheriff's outpost that needed to support itself, so they started watching the bars and nailing people for drunk driving. OOPS! That killed all the remaining businesses in the town.

The young people here in Vero Beach, call it "Zero Beach."  So, in a word, NO.

  • I live in a college town, so yes, we know how to party. Every April we have a city-wide day of revelry (was last Saturday) and it's the largest student-run event in the country (it's technically an open house for the university, but it works out to be a massive party). I've been day-drinking in Davis for years; I'll be sad to leave, but I'm moving away this fall.  This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at April 25, 2018 1:07 PM MDT

I think most towns nowadays have that partying mentality. Not just here in this country, but throughout the globe.
