Whats your biggest mental comfort?

For me it`s having a fridge  and cupboard full of food so I don`t have to worry about were our next meal is coming from - been there done that and I don`t want to have to do it again. Cheers and happy weekend!

I own my home free and clear.  No one can make me leave, except the government.  I will always have a roof over my head.  It hasn't always been that way.

Go to the county recorder and ask to inspect your deed. There will be some codes. Ask what they mean. One of them means "Residential". Tell them that is a mistake, it should be "Private Property". Suddenly your place is not taxed any more and it's nearly impossible for the government to take your property.

I'm not debt free but my assets far exceed the mortgage on our second home.  I can pay my debt off easily at any time and that's almost as good.

Still a good place to be, too.

I'm about $300 away from being debt free - it's taken me years to get it down. Once I pay it off I'm going to party like it was 1999 because 1999 was the last time I was debt free. Cheers!

Good for you - that's a really attainable goal.  The only thing I owe is what I charge on credit and that I pay in full when I get the bill.

Waking up in the morning and burying my face in her hair. She's always there, my rock, my shelter from the storm. We've been together thirty years, married for 29 of them.

Books, I have always had piles and piles of books around... I don't have to read them but I have to know they are there in case I want to.  And now I also have zillions of books on kindle and kobo - it's a mental comfort even more because I know that if I am stuck somewhere I always have something to read.
