Maybe we need more "silly" questions to break the sometimes very thick barriers that people erect between themselves and the "others" [who "Have .... no sense of humour" and tend to get everything wrong?]

What efforts are being made to make Muslims aware of that?
Is it a misunderstanding Surah 33:57-61?
I know the Quran can only be properly understood in Arabic as you have explained before but the English translation seems to equate annoying, speaking evil or whatever against Muhammad as equal to doing the same to God.

    Quran 33:57-61

    57. Verily, those who annoy Allah and His Messenger Allah has cursed them in this world, and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating torment.

    58. And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear on themselves the crime of slander and plain sin.

    59. O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e.screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

    60. If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease (evil desire for adultery, etc.), and those who spread false news among the people in Al-Madinah, cease not, We shall certainly let you overpower them, then they will not be able to stay in it as your neighbours but a little while.

    61. Accursed, wherever found, they shall be seized and killed with a (terrible) slaughter.

I would say at least many in Sudan need to be taught that Mohammad is not that important or to be venerated as they seem to venerate the very name.

A well though out answer for such a silly question. You know I rarely write serious questions. This post was edited by Element 99 at June 26, 2018 10:22 AM MDT

"A well though out answer for such a silly question."?? Oh well, maybe that's yet another thing I've got wrong, ...... or it may be another demonstration of my lack of humour? :)

Hope all that has been said with as much love and respect for Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, as Muslims have for Jesus, Moses, Noah, Abraham and all those sent by God for the guidance of mankind whenever and wherever man lived.

There is still a basic problem: Muslims accept Jesus as a prophet, but not the son of God. So they call him a prophet and a liar in the same breath. And a lying prophet is ok with them.

There are about 1.8 Billion Jesus-loving Muslims spread all over the world. If it's true that "they call him a prophet and a liar in the same breath. And a lying prophet is ok with them." then one must quite often come across Muslims calling Jesus a liar. So how many Muslims have you come across doing so and on what issues do they call him a liar? The question assumes that the allegation itself is not a clear lie.
