Surrounded by many and mostly the most intolerant horrible people I've ever met....They are so far up there own arses that it would take a huge rescue team to find them.... Thank god for big gardens.....and maybe moving away....:)
Not all obviously.....some have been here for decades and raised their families....houses in the poor areas in east London were £ 30,000 thirty years ago....they are now 3 million plus and that's for a three / four bed house....In NW London homes were 5 million pounds twenty years ago .....now with the Arabs, Russians and Chinese buy up properties the homes are twenty million upwards....The really huge mansions maybe a mile or less away could be 100 million plus now.... There are not many we talk to. The nearest front door is 150-200 feet away....maybe more
I don’t speak to my neighbors much. I’m a recluse and not a social person. The only one I dislike is a guy across the street who doesn’t mow his lawn often enough and has too many loud parties.
Yea, and probably in his house too. It’s a nice neighborhood. He’s the only slimeball in the area. It isn’t a rich area, but full of normal blue collar people.
I don't socialize much with my neighbors. I talk to the plumber neighbor from time to time, but he is a Hillary liberal. I never talk to the Gun Nut, but he might be a conservative.
No. On one side they got all mad at me when the last hurricane toppled a tree of mine onto their fence. They act like I went out there under the guise of the storm and just pushed that giant oak down like it was nothing. Sure it took my well out with it and left me with no running water, but at least I temporarily got rid of that gaudy fence even though I knew they would just replace it. I'm a stupid evil mastermind like that. The neighbors on the other side are doing suspicious things in their garage at night with strange people dropping by at weird hours, other than that they don't bother me. I just hope the meth lab or whatever they got going in there doesn't explode..
We have 3 within shouting distance. 1 we like. 1 family you would think we wouldn't like but we surprisingly to us, we do. 1 we don't like at all. In fact, the words manipulative, selfish, and controlling come to mind.
I don't feel like I have a lot in common with all of my neighbors here in this small complex of townhouses. The people who live right around me and I get along nicely and I like them. There is that problem that always exists in these kinds of communities being HOA not enforcing important regs. Every year I say no to serving on the board. I've decided that I will serve next year if my little group still wants me enter the election. I've lived in a community with an HOA since 1981 and am no stranger to the problems and benefits and have served on boards of directors. It seems to be my turn again. I don't look forward to it.
If you go outside in summer, you will be the only person on the block who is outside. I have lived here ten years and don't know the name of the lady across the street. There are three or four pickups in front the house most of the time and I have no idea who drives them. A few weeks ago I saw the man who lives two doors down, and two months ago I saw the man who lives across the street next door to the lady. Three houses are unoccupied and the corner lot has no building. Next door to me is a trailer park, and occasionally I see children playing in the street. But not in summer. Half the houses in town are occupied only in winter.
