One of my few real achievements in life is that I was never PBd on AB. Guess you can see my life has been pretty drab as far as achievements. But really I believe in being polite and not offending and following the rules.
Now that I think of it, it may have been once. But whether it was twice or one, it was for the same reason -- I had somehow accidentally engaged in spamming. I hardly even now know what spamming entails. :)
"No" ... I never spent any time in there, but in all fairness, I was only a member for seven years during which time I held two accounts. One from 2008 - 2015 and the other from 2010 - 2015.
I saw the site you're referring to, and if memory serves me correctly I tried to sign up for it before and it wouldn't let me. Maybe it had something to do with trying to connect through my phone.
I was never sent to the PB. I remember the Anonymous Witch created a site for PB'd members to hang out. I guess I will always miss Answerbag. This site is good but there really was something special about the particular mix of people on Answerbag.
Yes because there just so many there you were bound to find others who shared your interests. A lot of private messaging on there because we met people we wanted to know better and who wanted to get to know us. I try to keep up the standards on AM as far as being candid and honest but sort of falls flat on here because not so many people reaching out here.
The one thing AB was rather negatively plagued with was young males out to show how outrageous and off-the-wall and uncaring they were.
I was never sent to the PB either. I do remember writing them at length about how our discussions about trunks and basements kept disappearing. Nobody ever responded or, when they did, they claimed not to know anything about it. That's the closest I ever got to being in trouble.
I wrote them one time about one of their categories. "Driving cars, planes, boats & trains" or something like that and I told them that you don't drive boats and planes ... you pilot them. They eliminated the category all together. :))
Umm... It sounds like Goody Two-Shoes was the name of a member the way you worded it. I was not that member and I don't remember ever hearing of them. I was just using the common phrase to say I didn't get in trouble.
I was PB'd once for a month for spamming. I was answering all of their duplicate questions with the same answer. It was a really good answer. They deleted them and left all the dup questions. Grrr.
Surprisingly, I never got thrown in there. I put a toe across the line once or twice (still do), but never enough to get clobbered for it. One of my closest AB friends got PB'ed several times for absolutely no reason - she was bullied off the site (I'm still in contact with Bornabrit via Facebook, one of the few reasons why I actually have an account). AB is back up, but pointless. Cheap and nasty.
I use to love Bornabrit ...we use to message occasionally up until I got locked out of my email ... There were many on AB that hated how popular she was and Shaynata or how you type his name really had it in for her...
Remember me to her when you speak with her again....she was such a fun person....I miss her still....xx
