Instead of trying to enforce huge tariffs on US trading partners to pay off debt why doesn't president Trump just nicely ask themfor money?

Then when 21 trillion is paid off the USA would be .much better  financially able to help countries in need with their economic woes.

Tariff wars are giving everybody headaches.
Nobody  will win.

There should be a comma after the word 'debts', and because you're referring to a specific titled person, 'President' should be capitalized.

    (themfor  them for)

I ran out of spaces for the '?' so I had to sacrifice the space between 'them for'.

Maybe he would have better luck begging money off someone the US does not already owe trillions to.

    A) that 21 Triillion dollar debt will never be paid off.

    B) Why should American taxpayers give more of their money away to other countries who will never repay it? We do enough of that already.

You have it the wrong way round. 21 trillion is the amount of money the US owes to other nations. (China and Japan mostly)

Well because if he did that he would have the same chance of getting the money as he does with Mexico paying for the wall.  Right now Trump is trying to pressure Canada into signing his trade deal but it won't work because we know things that he doesn't seen to know - like Mexico doesn't have a logging industry. Canada has more natural resources then you can shake a hockey stick at and the US needs them just as much as Canada needs US products. Trump  just made a trade deal with Mexico - the day after he made it he was telling the press how great it was then he added that it was such a great deal that it will make it easy for Mexico to pay for the wall. The next day the Mexican president told the press that  Mexico will not be paying for the wall and I bet it was enough to make Trump start thinking about breaking the deal so maybe soon Mexico. the US and Canada will be back at square one. Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at September 3, 2018 10:33 PM MDT
