What music artist/group do you like for one especially foremost reason?

I love Bananarama!

Besides enjoying their music/voices, I really like them because they always seem to have a sense of "fun" and they seem not to take themselves overly seriously. Excellent!

That's cool, Pearl! I've read your posts about liking gospel music several different times on different music questions.

Collective Soul. I love their music and I have yet to hear or read about them discussing politics. They’re also good live.

Pearl Jam. Wonderful album after wonderful album. Their music has meaning. They do a lot of charitable work. My only grievance with them is they’ve been outspoken and annoying with their political beliefs.

    Great taste there, Rizz!
I've yet to hear anything by either group that I didn't like. Perhaps both songs are 'warhorses' by both groups but if both groups released only these two songs, they'd both still be favorite bands of mine!

    "Jeremy"   Pearl Jam

    "December"  Collective Soul

Icehouse. It's all about the music, the 80s was a decade when I was surgically attached to the radio.

Pink Floyd comes to mind. Unique and well orchestrated. Same with Zep.

Right On Welby!  True Classics when you are old enough to really understand the incredible "music" behind it and the "meanings" of the words to accompany it.  This is to you and Element.  Big winks and smiles!  I know he will get it.
I was introduced to them a bit young and didn't relate until I was older.  About 10 when I first heard both bands.  I was about 17 when I really started to understand the true meaning behind "The Wall" and the importance.  Led Zeppelin just speaks for itself.  The name is funny since they did "fly" to top easily becasue of the talents they all had.
    My two stand-bys, as well.

I'm a major Doors fan. As a teen, I liked their 'darkness' and lyrics.

I like them, too. I was sort of drawn to the 'sound' of "Riders on the Storm."

Another classic.  The story behind Jim Morrison is classic, too.  All about sex, drugs, and rock n' roll and why it isn't a lifestyle made for everyone.  He was a great poet.

I know it sounds crazy - - but I was immediately drawn to his nose. I often find myself drawn to noses and he has a nicely shaped one!
    Yes, a nice-looking guy!

Old man Morrison just died in the past year. He had a long life, regardless of his son's antics.
