You'd be better on a commuter train. They're so jampacked, no-one has any chance of falling over.

Back in 1989, while working at a restaurant/bar, a co-worker and dear friend of mine and I had bartender burn-out. Big Time.  One night she looked at me and said, "I know you're a big Dodgers fan.  Let's go see them."  I said, "Sure!  Why not?"  Our shifts ended and we went to our homes.  The next morning at 10 am she came knocking on my door.  She had bought two round-trip tickets on the train from Colorado to California that left at 5 that night.  Totally shocked, I packed and off we went.  We had the time of our lives!  I don't much remember how the game was but I did learn  how to play a mean game of poker.  She was amazing.  She won some guys watch and 900 bucks on the trip there.  I was afraid we might get thrown from the train on our return home and asked her to refrain.  She did.  We just drank our way back to Colorado.  It was a fantastic train trip all the way around. :) :) This post was edited by Merlin at September 24, 2018 5:47 AM MDT

Your life sounds like a lovely period story. Those were different times, weren't they?

Yes they were.  My life does hold its place in a period of time.  The train, thank goodness, keeps going back and forth.
