What are some things in nature that you find marvelous, beautiful and fastinating?

Weeping willow trees come to mind for me.

So your the ones that's been stealing them.....no wonder I hardly see them any more....I thought it was because i don't go out when it rains ,but now the real reason comes to light ...are you of Irish decent by and chance and trying to protect your crock of gold ?

If I travelled to the end of the rainbow
    As Dame Fortune did intend
Murphy would be there to tell me
The gold's at the other end

I am indeed of Irish descent (mostly), but the gold seems to have missed me.

Nobody believes me but I saw a triple rainbow years ago.

Given the stuff you smoke, I believe you ...

I joke around, but I actually don't smoke it. The rainbow was real. Nice comeback though. LOL

So do I. How does the physics of a triple one work?

I don't know about the physics, but I've seen a triple, too. Here's a link about a very rare quadruple rainbow.

(I'm pretty certain that this rainbow guy is definitely smoking something!)

I can only guess they work the same as any other, but I can't account for the dimming. Perhaps the others are just farther away.

Was the triple a full arch? I've only seen a full arch double once - late afternoon, looking east over Sydney from a lookout in the Blue Mountains. I grew up there.
    Plenty of partials.

    Thank you! :)
Actually, I find everything in nature wonderful and fascinating: the more I learn, the more the feeling grows.
The beautiful in nature is all around me in my part of the world.
It has its unbeautiful aspects at times - but even when adverse, they are always in some way necessary to the whole.

Have you heard of the Portia spider? another marvel of engineering in nature and a tribute to it's Creator!

One thing I find particularly fascinating are mutual symbiotic relationships.
