Where do you get your news? And why do you prefer that source?

Preferred source is gossip .  Its all females kind of smoke signals and can travels faster then the speed of Electricty or even the speed of light once it gets started... 

Local: Ch 13.
National and international: Ch 11 with Gayle, Norah and John.

I don't "get" news.  It is all so depressing and discouraging I can't use it and still be a sane, positive, and productive person.

I stopped watching the news on a regular basis about 6 years ago.  I do watch it on the TV about once ever other month.
Other than that I get it right here on answerMug!

I get most of the news from two local AM radio stations. I prefer those sources because they always present "all" of the news (good, bad, and the ugly) in an unbiased, intelligent, and professional manner. :)

Australian ABC and The New Daily. They occasionally get it right, not having to appease sponsors.

Various online sources and talk radio. I don’t watch television news.

I watch Fox, MSNBC, CSPAN and on rare occasions CNN. 
Email....I get emails from both the left and right. Then I look for verification.
