95% of the time, yes. If I don't, it's because I forget or because I'm driving on an empty road. But the vast majority of the time, I use them. I hate it when people don't signal.
You must have driven or live in L.A. Heaven forbid you let another driver know what you're planning on doing. The other drivers just tighten the mere hole you saw to make your exit.... 3 miles away.
If I'm not on my phone, smoking a fag....eating my Big Mac or putting on my make up ,I do try to remember....I'm still trying to get the thing to stop when I need to quick.....
If it wasn't for pedestrians.....people on bicycles or traffic lights ,I could get to where I'm goings a lot quicker.....:(
I see people driving around me as real people with real lives and I am not going to disrespect that by being first of all rude, by not signaling. So, not being rude is a courtesy, but that courtesy is much weightier considering that we are all traveling fast in in a ton of unforgiving steel. That courtesy could save lives.
I took my concentration off the wheel just this weekend in a darkened parking lot and I could have backed into an entire family. I don't think they even realized their peril.
God, please let me never hit another human being in a car. My safety is not the biggest issue. And I do not want to ever get hurt in a car, but the hurt I would sustain would be nothing compared to what I would endure if I hit someone else.
