Dairy Queen is owned by the devil---and unfortunately he can't cook or whip up an edible shake. Haven't eaten at Burger King in years, but I will occasionally have a shake, burger, fries--- or just a salad---from Whataburger.
Seriously, given the typical diet of the area at the time, I would think some broiled fish, olives, and a few dates would satisfy me---but we know I am not God.
"but we know I am not God" >>>> like Jesus knew he was not God, some Christians knew and know Jesus wasn't God, not to mention most nonChristians, of course?
Some Christians, and other people who think as you do, may think that He was not God.
Truth is conformity of the mind to that which exists---not the other way around. Truth will not conform to erroneous thought, no matter how reasonable that thought sounds or how much evidence seems to exist that it is the correct interpretation of reality.
Acts 1:1-9 "The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2. until the day when He was taken up to heaven after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen. 3. To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God. 4. Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; 5. for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
6. So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” 7. He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; 8. but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
The Ascension
9. And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight."
I wonder if Peter missed all that. Acts 2:22 has him reminding people who Jesus was by saying, "Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth WAS a MAN approved OF GOD among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which GOD DID by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves know."
There is something about that coffee... It's driving me nuts but I just can't put my finger on it... I do like it very much... Hmmm. Please allow me to have another cup of Chock Full o' Nuts coffee and think about how nutty that might be. :D! :)!
He appeared to Mary Magdalene and to the disciples and over five hundred others throughout Jerusalem for a period of forty days. Then He ascended to Heaven.
After showing Himself to many people for about 40 days (Acts 1:3), He ascended to heaven (Acts 1:9) and sat down at the right hand of the Father (God)(Hebrews 10:12)
Acts 1:9 shows this from an earthly view (looking up) while Daniel 7:13-14 shows it from heaven's view.
That's how the Christian myth goes. Just like the one about his mother Mary's immaculate conception. If you believe those, there's a bridge about two miles from my house in Brooklyn that I can sell you.
