I really like watching dragster racing find it cool how fast they get off the line and the chute deploying at the end is cool to watch too. Cheers!

Not so much into race cars as my relatives ------------  My mother's cousins' sons are Fred and Jim Linder - former sprint car champs. Chad Kemenah's sister is married to my wife's brother. Me? I'm a motorcycle nut.

Not on the track, but I do like to put my foot down off the traffic lights.  My other half has raced in the historic cars, but we prefer the superbikes, I bet being a marshal is a great job.

Never been a fan, I have better things to waste my time on.  Now some of the ones in a Museum are sort of nice, the Ferrari Museum is a great bit of trivia along with the Alpha Romeo.

Sitting for hours watching things go around in a circle is like another day of talking to New YORKERS IN A CONFERENCE ROOM.  Boring as all get out.

That's why touring cars are a lot more interesting than NASCAR. Far more complex tracks.

All good, I prefer bikes myself. Adelaide's race track is a street circuit though, so it is kinda fun to see cars hurtling at 200mph on streets I have to crawl along at 30.
My better half is a petrolhead, she loves them so she's a track marshal - which means she gets a few free tickets to give away. The after race concerts are sometimes worth going to, particularly when retro bands are on. I've seen KISS, Mötley Crüe, Icehouse, Mondo Rock, Cold Chisel, The Sweet, Doobie Bros, Status Quo ...

We will agree the after race parties and concerts can be fun.  They can also be somewhat expensive.  Since my company was one of the Sponsors for the F1 races in Singapore we went to the requisite events - we did not watch the race.  Here is the  Ferrari Museum in Italy my way to see race cars.  They even have a test track if you have the money to drive one

I watch one race a year. The Daytona 500. I lived there the year they opened the track.

  • Not really .. but my first car was a new 1968 Camaro with a 327 - 8 in it!  I raced that thing around a lot.  :)

My best friend lives near the Indianapolis raceway ... so we'll be going to the Indy 500 in the future, I'm sure.
