  • She just wants to see your smiling face .. coffee or not.  I don't drink coffee either .. and people ask me if I want to come over for coffee.  They just forget that all of us don't imbibe.   Coffee is a social thing even more than the drink itself.

    In our family, we do "coffee and" meaning whatever goes with coffee, like a cake or nice desert.

    2.  Maybe she thinks if you don't like coffee, you will bring your own beverage of choice.
