The owner's last name was "See" so that business name came naturally. The owner received a "Cease and Desist" document from the See's Candy lawyers saying she could not use that name. Her own name! She had to change the name of her coffee shop. She was legally forced to do so. How can that be?

Her mother sued, but the city decided to settle out of court.
The problem had been that 55 people had died in that same jail within 10 years. Hopefully, this awakens others in how to take care of prisoners who are ill, need special medication while held, and do a better job.
Many restaurants or clubs state such policies. But can a patron be legally charged for drinks if he had none? Or can a patron refuse to pay and automatically added gratuity?
