    No.

However, I have the desk we used at home out in my shed.  It looks like this, but with a smaller top ...

The desks in my high school had ink wells.

I don't proceed to new school ideas until I determine the benefit to me and society.  If a new way is not better and more beneficial than an old way, it isn't progress.  More than not, the "new" whatever will be worse and/or harmful than the old.  I don't trust government, business, or the medical/pharmaceutical  machine to make those determinations for me.  So, if you wanted to go down a list of possible old school vs new school ways of doing things and/or thinking about things, there would be some of both.

As far as I can tell most young people want to use the most recently emerged items and tech, language, foods, etc.  That is a disadvantage for them.  The older you are the more experience and information you have from which you can pull and from which you have obtained wisdom.

Yes, if it means (among many other things not coming to mind probably) :

    * I prefer buying things/food from people, in person, in a physical store

    * I prefer the physical experience of walking through a mall or store as opposed to the the myriad of other options I tend to avoid

    * I prefer rolling a car window down while rotating my arm

    * I prefer remembering to lock my seatbelt without a repetitive beeper beeping at me

    * I prefer watching/listening to deadly beer and cigarette commercials as opposed to endless, endless commercials advising me to 'ask my doctor' about endless drugs (but not if I'm allergic to the ingredients in the drug or allergic to the possible endless side effects, including death).

    Yes. Agreed.
    I miss both.

    And I SOOOOOOOOOOO miss Sharonna!

Among countless wonderful interactions, she introduced me to a new-to-me group --  Florence and The Machine! I love them! This is the song she shared with me.
Great music video for me, too! I like everything about the song and music video.

If it's a mobile, please text her and let them both know that we're thinking of them. If you get a reply I'll PM you my email address. I still hear from Rosie that way every now and then.

I was emailing rather often with Rosie, but to be honest, I can't deal with the political screeds several times a day.  I told her that and I think she's angry with me now.

Knowledge wheel stops ..here! Biden send them back!
The U.N. says there have been over 1,500 deaths and some 17,000 people rendered homeless in Haiti since the outbreak of violence. Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry said in March he would resign once a group of stakeholders were able to appoint a temporary successor.1 day ago

I was in Haiti in 78 and bought a frond carved wooden Haitian Chess set! And, a guy show me a comedy item where a wooden puppet suddenly had his penis pop out. What a laugh I recall. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at April 5, 2024 2:39 PM MDT

In some ways yes.  I find those ways increase as I get older.
