During the last Federal Election I went around and put Stephan Harper stickers at the bottom of all the Stop signs  - that way they said - Stop Stephan Harper (the stickers were the kind that peeled off easy so I wasn't doing any real damage). Cheers and happy Labour Day weekend!

Paid $6.50 per gal. for gasoline. No, seriously; walked on a glacier in Banff National Park.  Spectacular.

American gallons, or real ones? $1.44 per litre (Australian) isn't unusual, but $1.71 is steep.

American gallons, more like $1.71 per liter.  Yes, in any terms it's a steep price for gasoline, quite dear indeed.

Once is all it takes.   Now you get to write a check every month for 19 years.

What is this strange concept about writing checks for 19 years of which you speak?  I’m completely unfamiliar with it.

I dated a Canadian hockey player for a while.  That was a long long time ago.  I was in my 30s.  I'm watching a Canadian series on Netflix called Heartland.  It's not great but when I just want to watch something wholesome for a little while I watch the next episode.  It has 12 seasons.  I may not live long enough to ever finish it but that's OK.  I lived very near the Canadian border in Washington and never went into Canada.  I had plans to go up there but we just decided to do something else instead.  Now I wish I had taken a couple of weeks and tooled around a bit.  We talk about going now but it's really far from South Florida, but it might happen.  No, I don't fly.  Or at least I try not to.

I've only been to Canada once but my avatar is standing on the balcony at the Fairmont Chateau in Lake Louise, Alberta so I guess that's probably pretty Canadian, so yeah, my avatar goes to really beautiful places without me.
