What was the name and location of your HS?

I attended Edmund Drumond  Libbey high school in Toledo. It was demolished ten years ago. I also taught there in 1994-5.

    Only the best. Of about 700 in my graduating class, more than 100 attended one of the "Ancient Eight" colleges in the Ivy League.

    When I attended, it was at 345 East 15th Street in Manhattan.

    It moved to 345 Chambers Street, near the World Trade Center, in the early 1990s.

    A fair number. But it's NYC, so we had a mix of African-Americans, Asian-Americans (mostly Chinese), Indian-Americans, Irish-Americans, Italian-Americans, and others.

    The HS I went to was a all boys Secondary school in Windsor Ontario. It had 2 official names well I was there - first  it was called King George and it's nickname was King Ding then they changed it's name to Monarch and it got a new nickname - Butterfly High. I preferred King Ding because at least if someone tried making fun of me because I went to King Ding I could say - ya I got your King Ding right here. One of my classes was metal fabrication well the other kids made pipes I made drags and used them to pull a lot of bikes, fishing polls and a bunch of other valuable stuff out of the Detroit river.     Back then it kind of was - I could cross the border with a hydro bill for ID. I have been watching A new TV show called Bob Hearts Abishola - its filmed in Detroit so I  get to see a lot of areas I used to go to. Cheers!

    SB had an “accelerated” tech science and engineering program back in the day, and I was able to excel there, which led to gaining a merit scholarship to the University of Virginia (UVA).
