If you mean scarily bad comedy, then yes.

I'll try another image -- I have a couple of other friends who say the same thing about movies not scaring them. I scare pretty easily. :)

Yeah, I am extremely desensitized. I’ve been watching horror movies since I was in preschool.

    I get it. :)

For me, this one is BEYOND scary, this movie is THE most disturbing movie I've ever seen. And it's a flawless masterpiece to me. And not a single frame of any gore whatsoever:

Director Michael Haneke's original 1997 Austrian/German film "Funny Games" (not his American remake of his own movie that he did). That's actor Arno Frisch in the poster - - what an actor! His performance made me a fan of his.

I will have to check it out. Although I enjoy the gore, so I will miss that aspect.

Yeah, I don't speak either language of the movie -- but subtitles don't bother me at all. I enjoy seeing and hearing the actual cast's voices. I much rather watch and listen to the actors/actresses' own voices, rather than a dubbed movie with other people speaking for the cast in a language I understand.
Anyway, I highly recommend hearing the actual cast's voices - -the small cast is amazing!

From what I've read since watching the movie, director Haneke's goal was to make a violent film that was NOT entertaining for he audience to watch. He believed too many huge blockbuster violent movies made the violence entertaining fro the audience - - he believes violence should be uncomfortable to experience.
This movie does things I've seen no other movie do.

I watched the movie at home - - at one point, I got so upset, I stopped the movie and left my place and took a walk. I've truly not been the same person since as far as movie-watching experiences. But, others I know have watched it with no reaction hardly at all. Oh, well :)

Well, as you know I have a bit of a fetish for torture and seeing people in extreme pain, so I don’t know if it’s possible for a movie to repulse me of it. I’ve already spent enough time on liveleak and bestgore witnessing videos of live murders, which are far more interesting than the sensationalized movie violence.

But anyway, it sounds like an interesting watch, so I will put it on my list!

Yeah, I wonder how you would experience the movie. I'm hoping, if you do watch it, that you will find it, at the least, interesting!

I had a guy in a neighboring apartment one time who. would lie, steal, cheat, scam... anything for cash to get his next fix. Being tied up securely I would spread a bunch of $20 bills on the floor in front of him to make him crazy thinking about the wonderful drugs he could buy if he could get his paws on all that cash.

Good idea. Maybe you could burn some counterfeit bills in front of him to drive him even madder. This post was edited by Lady Ondine at January 19, 2020 11:03 PM MST

Wait, why are you asking me all this? Are you working with the police (again)?  I bet you’re wearing a wire (just like that last time.)  This smells fishy to me, it smells like entrapment!  They offered you a deal and all you have to do is turn in your ol’ pal Randolph the Dope, that’s probably what this is. Well, I did six months at county on a bum rap, so I’ve learned my lesson, Sister!  I’m not spilling anything to you nor in front of you ever again!  Grrrrrr.

How do you know I am not just asking to find out your biggest fears since you would likely inflict those things upon your enemies?

Simple.  I would tell him that Barak Obama slept with Melania.

And that Baron is not his.
