It doesn't make much sense to me for someone to join a public site and then hide their content...makes it seem like more of a club then a Q&A site

For me, it was because I didn't know anything about the sender, and when I asked for clarification, I received absolutely no reply, which made me assume that I was one of many people caught up in a barrage-request. No loss. ~
