Are they simply new marketing terms for existing TCP/IP-based protocols, or are they more complex than that? I've read up on them on Wikipedia, but it doesn't make much sense to me outside of being a fancy name for network communications.

I noticed it started recommending that I add friends who have nothing to do with answerMug... the secretary at my former pediatrician's office, who I spoke with once using my main personal gmail account via outlook, and clients, who I also speak with via outlook, using an email address assigned to my business domain. The only way Facebook could possibly know that I know these people, is if they're looking at the emails on my desktop, and accessing the email address I email... not even my "contacts" just random people I message who don't even know that "Just Asking" exists.
The other question is, does "Just Asking" show up in their recommended friends, too? O_o
I used the option to remove my imported contacts: https://www.facebook.com/contact_importer/remove_uploads.php but I didn't import these people in the first place and they're not saved in my addres... less

The above was taken from Twitter. The below was my results.
EDIT:
I forgot to include other search engines provide different results:

They don't have my info and they include a different email address, company name, and contact info for me every time. There's no link to get removed from their list and when I hover over the link in the email, it says my email name and then something in Russian. I'm not clicking it. O_o
Is there a way to stop these messages in Hotmail or should I just keep letting my junk folder catch them in the hopes that it will eventually stop? less
